As we prepare for this year’s ADGA Convention in Boston, I was looking back at one of our visits last year where we had the opportunity to journey out to Poplar, Illinois, to meet Jeremy Franseen. Jeremy’s dairy farm consists of Alpines and Saanens, which he scans in his milking parlor, selling the milk within his State. He also keeps a few Boer goats on his land that we were also able to scan on our visit.
We tried out three different ultrasound systems on Jeremy’s farm:
- The ScanX: developed in-house, this tablet-based system is light and portable, with industry-leading image quality.
- The ScanX Air: one of our more recent additions to the range, this brings portability to a whole new level with a pocket-sized probe that connects wirelessly to any device.
- The Apogee 1000 Lite: this machine has advanced functions but thanks to Jessie’s background as a vet tech, she was able to hit the ground running with this and even try out its Doppler capabilities.
