This ScanX-branded KX5600v includes a microconvex probe (suitable for pregnancy confirmation in Nigerian Dwarfs and dogs; not suitable for larger animals), and USA power supply. It is less than one year old (manufacture date November 2024) but it does show signs of use. The previous owner was a veterinary surgery and sites with multiple users do not tend to care for the cosmetic condition of machines as much as private owners do.
The front cover has some heavy scratches (please see pictures), and the plastic around the tracker ball has also been scratched. It looks almost as if the previous user attempted to remove the cover to take the tracker ball out. Our engineer has fully checked and serviced this machine and certified it to be in full working order.
If you do not mind some cosmetic damage, this is a great opportunity to get a machine that would be priced at $2290 as a new system, for a very heavy discount ($700) due to the cosmetic damage.
A microconvex probe is the best choice for smaller animals because it is more maneuverable in smaller spaces, and delivers higher quality imaging due to its higher resolution. However, for the same reason it cannot penetrate deep-bodied animals very well, so it is not a good choice for larger animals such as full size goats, sheep or pigs.
