How Our Repair Process Works

Getting started is simple.

The quickest way to request a repair is by completing the Machine Servicing form on our website. Providing a few details about the issue gives Sami a valuable starting point before your machine even arrives.

Here’s what you can expect.

First, we’ll review the information you’ve submitted and may ask for additional photos, videos, or details about how the fault occurs. In many situations, we can troubleshoot the problem remotely, saving you the time and expense of shipping your machine.

If the issue can’t be resolved remotely, we’ll arrange for the system to be shipped to our service department.

Once your machine arrives, Sami performs an initial diagnosis and provides an estimated repair timeline.

If the fault is a common issue and we already have the required parts in stock, repairs can often be completed within a single day. When replacement parts need to be ordered or a more complex electronic fault requires additional testing, repairs may take anywhere from two to four weeks. We always take the time to identify the exact cause of the problem before recommending parts or providing a repair estimate.

Remote Support Comes First

Unless there’s obvious physical damage, our first step is almost always remote troubleshooting.

Many software and setup issues can be resolved without the machine ever leaving your facility. That means less downtime and a faster return to scanning.

The Most Common Ultrasound Machine Problems

Probe cable damage

Never pull, twist, or sharply bend the probe cable. The probe should also never be used to lift or carry the ultrasound machine.

Probe connector damage

Always align the connector carefully before inserting it into the system. Never force a connection, as this can damage both the connector and the machine.

As wireless probe technology becomes more widely available, these types of problems should become much less common. Our latest wireless probe gives users the flexibility to work wirelessly or switch back to a wired connection whenever needed.

Overheating

Keep ventilation openings free from dust and obstructions. Avoid placing the machine where airflow is restricted or operating it in excessively hot environments.

Screen damage

Take care when moving your ultrasound system and avoid placing heavy objects on the display.

Open and close the screen gently to help protect the hinges and internal display cable from unnecessary wear.

Moisture and condensation

If your ultrasound machine has been transported from a cold location into a warm building, allow it to reach room temperature before turning it on.

Condensation inside the system can damage sensitive electronic components, especially during colder months or after shipping.

Cleaning and preventative maintenance

Clean your machine and probes according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

For larger systems or equipment that requires internal maintenance, it’s always best to have servicing carried out by experienced professionals rather than attempting internal cleaning yourself.

One of the easiest ways to prevent avoidable service calls is to always use the original power supply, adapter, and power cable that came with your ultrasound machine.

Many systems that appear to have faults are actually being powered by incompatible replacement adapters. Using the correct accessories every time helps ensure reliable performance.
